Composition

The structure of a cocktail is always the same and is broken down into 3 distinct parts: the base, the body and the aromatic touch.

The base, most often a strong alcohol such as rum, vodka or the gin. sets the tone for the cocktail. She is the first brick of the mixture, the one on which the other bricks will lean.

The body can be composed of several ingredients. He's there to lengthen it and give it more texture. This one maybe fizzy (soda), creamy (eggs) or thick (pureed fruits).

The aromatic touch, on the other hand, makes it possible to affirm its character and/or to bring it a note of originality.

Balance

For a successful cocktail, you have to make sure that the mixture is a perfect balance between strength, sweetness and acidity. It's about the rule of the 3S well known to our supreme bartenders (sweet, sour and strong).

To find that fine balance that will make the unique flavor of your cocktail and will seduce your taste buds, limit the number of ingredients. From 5 ingredients, it becomes very difficult to manage the different flavors.

Also pay attention to their texture and their compatibility because yes the lemon makes the cream curdle for example.

Presentation

The cocktail is a delight for the taste buds but must be also for the eyes! It will highlight your blend and make it even more attractive.

A few candies on a toothpick will sweeten a robust cocktail and a sugar-frosted glass will delicately dress a Margarita.

You can also add mint leaves to your tray, ice cubes to elegantly refresh fruity cocktails.
